Brief History • The concept of flying has only been around for about 2 centuries. The first attempts to fly where unsuccessful. They use to attach feathers to their arm. But the first successful air flight was in a hot air balloon.
The First Flight • The first flight was in a hot Air balloon. The Hot air Balloon was made in 1783.
The First Airplane • The first airplane that was flown was a glider. A glider is a non-motorized flying machine. These planes are extremely hard to control.
The Wright Brother’s • The Wright brother’s Orville ( August 19, 1871- January 30 1948) and Wilbur (April 16, 1867- May 30 , 1912). These men were credited with inventing the first successful airplane and making it sustain and powered heavier – than – air human flight on December 17 1903.
1904 • A flight changing paper was written by Ludwig Prandtl. The concept of a fixed “boundary layer” describe in paper.
How does airplanes make life simpler ? Being able to get on a plane can cut down commuting time. It also can cover more space faster.
Is This Way of Travel Eco-Friendly ? • Airplane’s use a lot of gas but cars use more. The amount of cars that drive compared to the amount of planes that fly cars use about 2 to 3 times more gas.
The Changes of Airplanes • Airplanes look different from the old models compared to the new models. the airplanes now are faster more safe and can be better controlled.
Is it a Safe Way to Travel ? • Flying in a plane is the safest way to travel. More people die in car crashes then in Airplane crashes.
