Technology-Oriented Cooperation and Strategies in India and China: Reinforcing the EU dialogue with Developing Countries on Climate Change Mitigation FEEM – WP5 Leader
WP 5: EFFECTIVENESS AND ACCEPTABILITY OF TECHNOLOGY-ORIENTED CLIMATE COOPERATION WITH DCS • Participants: FEEM, ORDE, HKBU, TU, IIMVA, KANLO, EPFL, UCAMB • Coordinator: FEEM • Task 5.1: Design of an Upper-level game with payoff obtained from the combined BU/TD-WITCH model (Task leader: HKBU) • Task 5.2: Implement OBOT to solve variational inequalities (Task leader: ORDE)
Task 5.1: Implement OBOT to solve variational inequalities • Solution method for the VI problem implemented in the OBOT tool. • Very technical task. • To task leader: what will you need from WP participants? • Output: A paper
Task 5.2: Design of an Upper-level game with payoff obtained from the combined BU/TD-WITCH model • Global emission cap (scenarios will be designed in previous WP??) • Strategic non-coop game on burden sharing (regional emission caps) • Multiple solutions (depending on weights) • The coupled WITCH-BU/TD models will serve to evaluate the payoffs in terms of welfare gain (or loss) for each player (region). • Why not using WITCH as it is? • What information will be needed from WP participants to solve upper-level game? • Output: a paper to be presented in final conference?
