Class Requirements • General Biology or Zoology with lab: one year • Genetics: one semester • Inorganic Chemistry with lab (General or Physical): one year • Organic Chemistry with lab: one semester • Biochemistry*: one semester • Physics with lab: one semester • Math (Calculus, Computer Science or Statistics): one semester • English: one semester
Selection Factors • academic ability • emotional and professional maturity • academic achievement; community service • indicators of responsibility and motivation • time in a veterinary medical practice or farm experience • letters of recommendation regarding the applicant’s personal qualities, character, motivation and academic abilities. Candidates for admission will be invited for an interview.
There is no minimum GPA requirement • The GRE must be taken just like any other Vet schools • There are two incoming classes a year which makes chances of getting in slightly greater than U.S. schools • In addition to taking the normal licensing Veterinary exam, the NAVLE must also be taken so practice can be done in the United States
