Senior Orientations • All seniors will be called down the week of September 22nd to meet with counselors in groups to hear important information. We will cover how to order transcripts, college applications, scholarship information, career information and much more. Your student will receive a handbook to take home with this information. Student Services will also make it available on the website.

North Carolina University System Minimum Admissions Requirements • You must have 2 foreign language classes of consecutive levels • Minimum GPA to apply for class of 2013 and beyond: 2.5 • A math higher than Algebra 2 • Please check into the admissions profile for the schools you are interested in for average GPA and test scores of those admitted • Minimum SAT: 800 • Minimum ACT: 17
Letters of Recommendation • Some (not all) colleges require one or more letters of recommendation. • Please give your recommender at least two weeks notice. • If your counselor needs to write a letter for you make an appointment via email or appointment slip at least two weeks ahead of your due date. • Personal Information Sheet (see handout)
Sending Transcripts • Common Application- once you link your counselor via their correct email address no further action is necessary for transcripts • NC Schools- send through www.cfnc.org • Out of State Schools and Scholarships- www.wcpss.net/transcripts • Ms. Batista is our Registrar and can help with transcript questions • First 3 transcripts are free. $5 for each additional/$3 processing fee for each order
Wake County College Fair • Sunday, September 21, 2014 • 2-4:30 • NCSU, McKimmon Center • Over 100 colleges will attend to discuss college admission with juniors and seniors • Financial Aid Sessions at 2:45 and 3:45 • Preparing for College Sessions 2:30 and 3:30 • Admission and parking are free!
