Cupcake Friday Presentation By Zainab Abari And with the help of Karis Ambrose-Brade
All about Zainab • My name is Zainab. I am 10 years old and am in 6Or. I have decided to present this idea to you as my last project to raise money went so well. We raised around £30. With the support of my friend Karis and others in my class I would like to sell cupcakes in school to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Charity.
Why Marie Curie is a important charity to support. The Marie Curie charity began in 1948. This is an organisation designed to help people with terminal illnesses such as cancer. The charity helps make them feel comfortable and supports their families. It is a fantastic charity that everyone should help support.
What I will need to make the cupcakes Ingredients for Vanilla cupcakes Makes: 24 cupcakes 175g (6 oz) softened butter or Stork margarine 175g (6 oz) caster sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 3 eggs 175g (6 oz) self-raising flour So if we times that by 12 we get 288 cupcakes that we can sell. So we need at least 12 children from year 6 to make the cupcakes. (based on green behaviour) We also need access to the oven and equipment . (Mrs Bullen and Mrs Camron) We will need around £88. The cupcakes will need to be cooked on a Thursday.
Break down of budget 288 cupcakes 12-15 flour at £1 each= £15 10tubs of butter at £1.50 each= £15 5 bags of sugar at £1 each = £5 Vanilla extract 5 bottles at £1 each = £5 Eggs 10 pack at £1 each = £4 Decoration and Icing= £40 Cupcake cases at £1 = £4 Total £88
