  3. John 14 • He is going before us to prepare a place • He promised that He will come again and take us to that place • He also testified that we already know the way??

  4. John 14:5-11 • Jesus declares that if they knew Him, then they also know the Father • Do we know Jesus, or are we just well rehearsed church people? • Even guys like Phillip still struggled with taking Jesus at His word in faith • We have more power in Jesus Name now that He is seated at the right hand

  5. John 14:12-14 • If we believe in Him, if we trust Him more than our own thoughts, if we rely on Him for the everyday, if we cling to Him with everything we are – we will do greater things • If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it • WOW! – but there is a cost

  6. John 14:15-17 • The world does not see the Holy Spirit and cannot receive Him • He will take up residence in you if you are willing • Romans 8:16 – the Holy Spirit bears witness with our own spirit

  7. John 14:18-24 • As a result of His death and resurrection, He is in the Father, and we are in Him, so we are united with the Father • He who love Jesus will be loved by the Father, and Jesus will love him and manifest himself! • And we will come to him and make our home with him • Perfect hearing, perfectly declaring heaven

  8. John 14:25-31 • The Holy Spirit will teach you all things • Jesus will give us true peace • They should have been rejoicing that Jesus was about to give His life • The Father is greater than the Son • The prince of this world is coming – but he has NO power over me (and us, because we are His)

  9. 31But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do John 14:31 (NKJV)31 but the world must learn that I love the Father, and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me John 14:31 (NIV)
