Customer May Have Multiple TelCos • Company may lease fixed phone service from more than one Telco. • Some trunks connected to each TelCo. From PBX, these trunks must be numbered uniquely. • Two Telco will have two telephone tariff. Basing on outgoing trunk, billing software has to apply correct Telephone Tariff.
How-to Setup Multiple Telephone Tariffs • Go to Call Charge Scheme>>Telephone Rate Tables. • On Combo box named “Select Action” at the bottom of the form, select “Create new Tel. Rate Table” >> click on “Execute” to create empty Telephone Rate Table. • Next, you create Call Types and Area Codes for newly-created Telephone Rate Table. • Finally, assign relevant Trunks of each TelCo to their Telephone Tariff by entering it into list box named “Trunks” on right hand side. You will see Screenshots on next slide
Screenshot of Supporting Multiple Tariffs You can see Trunk = 02 in the list. With this settings, any CDR which has Trunk = 02 will be applied Telephone Tariff “Second Telco’s Telephone Tariff”
Screenshot of Supporting Multiple Tariffs You can see Trunk = 01 in the list. With this settings, any CDR which has Trunk = 01 will be applied Telephone Tariff “Viet Nam Post & Telecom” Trunk = any and check as “Dummy” is the way to appoint one Telephone Tariff as default one. For example, you just explicitly assign Trunk 01 and 02, what about if CDR has trunk = 04, 05, 06…? My software will look for Telephone Tariff assigned with Trunk = Any to calculate call charge for such calls.
Making Some Tests Go to Call Charge Scheme >> Call Charge Tester >> Enter your test call factor to first tab, then click Bill. You may select Trunk = 01, Trunk = 02 to see the difference in Call Charge. You will find it select the right Telephone Tariff as you expect.
