FRESH WATER There are many different fresh water placessuch as ponds and lakes stream and rivers also wet lands fall into this category . Fresh water has a very low salt concentration it is usually about 1 percent . In these Fresh waters there are certain plants and animals in these locations . Theyare only adjusted to the very low salt contents that is in fresh water and these animals and plants would not be able to live in a area with an high salt content.
The Freshwater Biome is about one fifth of the amounts of the Earth and also provides half of our drinking water.
