  5. Objectives By the end of the lesson the students will be able to :- Tell about Shat Gambuj Mosque. Tell About Khan Jahan Ali. Able to distinguse between Shat Gambuj Mosque and Star Mosque. Know vocabulary such as, inhospitable, torchbearer, nucleus, dome.

  6. Look at the picture Khan Jahan Ali Shat Gambuj Mosque Khan Jahan Ali who was a great saint and founder of the shat Gambuj Mosque. Shat Gambuj Mosque is situted in district of Bagerhat in mid-15th century. It is now famous for its beauty as a great tourist attraction.

  7. 1.ShatGambuj Mosque 2.Star Mosque It is roofed over with 77 squat domes, including 7 chauchala or four sided domes in the middle row.It was used both as a prayer hal and a court of Khan Jahan Ali. MirzaGhulamPir, a highly respectable Zamidar of Dhaka built the Star Mosque in early 18th century.It has five domes with hundreds of big and small twinkling stars on walls.
