  2. Yorkshire terriers are mammals. • They are the most popular toy dog breed in the United States. • Yorkies are small, cute and an energizing type of dog that loves to play and swim. What are Yorkshire terriers?

  3. Yorkies usually have 1-3 puppies. • A lot of Yorkies have died while giving birth because of their small size. • When Yorkies are born they weigh around 1-2 pounds. Yorkshire terrier puppies are cute.

  4. Yorkies are dogs so they eat dog food. • When they are puppies they should eat puppy food. • Then when they become 1 year old they should start to eat dog food. What do Yorkies eat?

  5. Yorkshire terriers are a mix between an English terrier and a Scottish terrier. • They named the first puppies Yorkshire terriers because they were first born in Yorkshire England. Yorkshire terriers come from Europe.

  6. Yorkies are small and usually 5-7 pounds. • They are black and gold then as they get older their gold fur starts to turn gray. • They have big brown eyes and tiny pink tongues. Yorkies have interesting charateristics.

  7. Most of the time Yorkies live indoors because of their soft and silky coat the won’t keep them warm. • They are very hyper so they probably will need a home with a backyard. • They need to be fed about 1-2 times a day. Yorkie puppies are very athletic! What do Yorkies need to live?
