  2. Achalasia - A Disorder of theEsophageal Achalasia is an uncommon condition when your esophagus's ability to function normally is compromised by damaged nerves. Food cannot enter your stomach because of the weak muscles at the lower end of your esophageal.

  3. Common Symptoms of theAchalasia • Your throat is regurgitated with food or drink. • Dysphagia, is the inability to swallow. • Loss of weight • Discomfort or Chest pain • Heartburn

  4. Common Causes of the Achalasia

Diagnosis of theAchalasia • Manometry is the "gold standard" test for diagnosing achalasia. • Barium swallow is a test to evaluate the narrowing of the esophagus at the LES. • Upper endoscopy is a test that uses an endoscope to evaluate the inside of the esophagus to rule out cancerous lesions and assess for achalasia.
