  2. Second Person: Use “you” all over the place. Present tense, using commands. “Disconnect the system, and check the electrical source” (264) First or Third Person: Use “I” or “He/ She/ One” Past tense or present tense. Avoid commands.   3. Ch. 9 Process: Drafting • Your opinion of the process and/or end result makes your thesis (265) • Each body paragraph is a stage of the process, with each stage having several steps (266).
