  3. Nimbostratus • Dark gray • Sometimes cover whole sky • Bad weather! Click the sun to return to the main slide

  4. Stratocumulus • Low, lumpy, gray • Drizzle usually comes from these clouds Click the sun to return to the main slide

  5. Cirrostratus • Sheet like, thin clouds • Usually cover entire sky • Usually come about 12-24 hours before rain or snow • Sun or moon can shine through these Click the sun to return to the main slide

  6. Cirrocumulus • Small, rounded, puffs • Usually in long rows • Usually white or grayish • Usually seen in winter time • Means fair weather, but cold! Click the sun to return to the main slide

  7. Altocumulus • Grayish/White color • Usually in groups • Thunderstorms come soon after these clouds! Click the sun to return to the main slide

  8. Altostratus • Usually covers the whole sky • Blue or white tint • Sun may shine through, but be fuzzy Click the sun to return to the main slide

  9. Cirrus Clouds • Most common high cloud • Predict good weather • Wispy clouds blown in high winds into long steamers • Composed of ice Click the sun to return to the main slide

  10. Stratus Clouds • Sometimes grayish • Usually cover entire sky • Light mist or drizzle sometimes comes from these clouds Click the sun to return to the main slide

  11. Cumulus Clouds • White, fluffy clouds • Bottom of the cloud is flat • Top of the clouds is round • If they get too big they can become thunderstorm clouds Click the sun to return to the main slide
