Tutorial 3 – Sessions 3.1 and 3.2 The “Family Budget” sheet is very detailed. Follow the instructions carefully. In particular, check these frequently-missed formulas at the bottom left. These shortcuts may save you time: • p.140, #2 Just enter 4000 (no comma) • p.159, #2 Just enter 6% (not 6.00%) • p.159, #7 Just enter 200000 (no $ or comma) Don’t wait until the last minute to check in your work. It takes us 3-4 minutes to grade all of the sheets in your workbook.

DO Autofill the formula down to F25 • p.166, #3,5,6,10 Don’t waste your time entering $ signs and commas.

See page 196. • p.223, #13“In cell B32, insert a line sparkline….” B32 is merged with C32, so when you get the error message, edit $B$32:$C$32 in the Location Range box to just $B$32 Do the same in instructions 14 and 15. • p.224, #17 …insert a 3-D line chart. If it’s not 3-D, it can’t have depth.
