  2. Advising at Augsburg • Advising is required of all students • AugSem Advisor • Faculty Advisors • Academic Advisors • Web resources • Catalog, catalog, catalog

  3. Graduation Requirements In order to graduate, students need to: • Complete the Core Curriculum • Finish a major • Earn 32 course credits (usually 4 courses per term for 8 terms) • Achieve at least a 2.0 grade point average (may be higher for some majors)

  4. Records & Registration What students can find online: • Faculty advisor • Assessment scores • Account holds • Drop/Withdraw from class • Search for classes by requirement • Coming soon: Audit system!

  5. Registration Holds Check for these holds: • Advisor. You need to see your faculty advisor to have this released. • Accounts (A/R). You have an outstanding balance. See the Enrollment Center. • ASO Probation Skills. You must do your probation advising with the ASO office. • Assessments. You still have an entry-level assessment to take. See Advising. • Immunization. You need to turn in proof of immunization. See the Enrollment Center. • Payment Policy (PPD). You need to turn in a form to the Enrollment Center. A parent needs to sign!

  6. The Registration Process • Registration is online • Students register by class, which is determined by completed credits • Students will register according to last name – and this will rotate each semester • Registration Workshops • Wednesday, April 1, 2 p.m., SVE 205 • Thursday, April 9, 3 p.m., SVE 201

  7. Registration Day • For Juniors, Sophomores, and First-Years, the EC will have extended hours from 8 am to 6 pm • We won’t register students but refer students to the computers • We will help them with holds, though it is important to remember that often it takes more than 24 hours to get a hold released. • We will help them find an additional course

  8. ACTC Registration This is more complicated . . . Here’s how: • Must be a course we don’t offer here. • Only one course per term, unless you declare an ACTC major or minor • Need an ACTC registration form, course description, and course schedule • Turn in registration form at Enrollment Center, registration is on the other school’s registration schedule • ACTC registration ends MAY 1st –after students need to get the instructor’s signature on the 1st day

  9. Questions? Thank you & happy registration!
