  7. Best Practices for Trouble Shooting WC Flush Problems • Most times when a WC is not flushing properly it is due to a clogged drain. Check the problem toilet by dumping about 1 gallon of water into it from a bucket. If it flushes down fine, the drain is probably okay. If it flushes poorly, the drain is probably clogged. • If clogged, plunge first, making sure you use a plunger for toilets.
