  2. Procedure: Step 1: Set it to equal zero X₂= 0 Step 2: Factor the Equation 1.) find the GCF 2.) If four terms Group 3.) Backwards Foil

  3. Procedure: Step 3: Use zero product property to find wheneach factor equals zero Step 4: Change to negative Or positive sign. Eg. X= 1, -1

  4. Now let’s do some examples 1.) X₂+10X= -16 +16 +16 X₂+10X+16= 0 (X+8)(X+2) X= -8,-2

  5. More Examples… 2.) X₂-16X+64= 0 (X-8)(X-8) X= 8
