Goals for today: • Run through the basics again • Hands on: • Uploading a presentation • Linking with the IPhone • How to use the remote to advance, go back, draw • Adding photos • Adding objects • Embedding a video!!!!
What do you need? Ipad IPhone - your remote! HDMI cable Apple HDMI Adaptor Projector Keynote APP on IPad and iPhone • Not Always
Advantages: Much easier to tote than your Laptop Always have an internet connection (think YouTube videos) Easy to embed video, links, sound 🎬 🎧 Your phone is your remote control - and more You can view your notes on your IPad and IPhone while presenting The IPad gives you a timer and a clock as you are presenting to keep on track You can easily hook up to a flat screen TV You look so cool!! 😎
Disadvantages: • Difficult to Email out presentations • No USB port = cannot use a thumb drive • Transitions do not always port from Powerpoint to Keynote and back • Can run into technical difficulties......
Together... How-To: Go to your EMail and open the presentation I sent this AM (in Powerpoint) Now open it in Keynote Most Times : you will need to run through the slides and adjust animation as needed
Using with your IPhone : • Download the Keynote APP onto your iPhone (free) • 2. Sync the two devices - you do NOT need to be on the same WIFI. This is done via Bluetooth. Here is how: • Click on the wrench • Select Presentation Tools • Select Enable Remote • 3. When you are conducting a presentation, First open it on your Ipad
Using with your IPhone : • 4. Open Keynote on your IPhone • 5. Activate the phone as a remote • 6. Once they are linked, push PLAY!!
Advantages: • You can see your notes on your IPad - and they can't! • You can see your notes on your iPhone

How to insert pictures, object, VIDEO...... • Click "+" on the task menu • Across: spreadsheets, graphs,, photos • Select shapes • Insert shape of your choice • You can manually change size • Click "+" on the task menu • Select photos • It will let you add anything on your Ipad
How to insert pictures, object, VIDEO...... • Now: Video • Go to You Tube and • Open the video you want to Embed • Click on symbol upper right • Select "Copy Link" • BACK TO KEYNOTE • Click the wrench on the task menu • Select Presentation Tools • Select Interactive Links • It will prompt you to select an object to use as your link • Use the object from our last example AND Viola!! The object is now your You Tube Video
