  2. What is Marble? ​ Marble is formed when limestone is exposed to high pressure and temperature and undergoes metamorphism. It contains minerals like quartz, mica, iron oxide and graphite. Marble usually comes in light colours. People like white coloured marble because of the glamour it adds to the area. Marble is crushed and powdered and used after various processes as a colouring agent in various painting materials.
