Applying Formatting with the Font Group and the Mini Toolbar ACTIVITY 2.1 • Open FCTOslo.docx, and save as WordS2-01. • Select Oslo Fact Sheet, click Bold in Home tab, click Change Case in Font group, then click UPPERCASE at drop-down list.

Aligning Text • Change text alignment with keyboard shortcuts: • To align left, use Ctrl + L • To center, use Ctrl + E • To align right, use Ctrl + R • To justify, use Ctrl + J
Indenting Text • Indent text with keyboard shortcuts: • To indent text from left margin, use Ctrl + M • To decrease indent from left margin, use Ctrl + Shift + M • To create hanging indent, use Ctrl + T • To remove hanging indent, use Ctrl + Shift + T
Changing Line and Paragraph Spacing ACTIVITY 2.4 • Open WordS2-01.docx, and to select entire document press Ctrl + A. • Click Line Spacing inHome tab then click 1.5. • Deselect text, then scrollthrough document. • To decrease line spacing to1.2, press Ctrl + A to selectentire document.

Inserting Symbols and Special Characters ACTIVITY 2.6 • Open Word S2-02.docx, move insertion point to end of document, then select and delete multiple-level bulleted text. • With insertion point at end of document a double space below bulleted text, type text shown up to Å symbol. • To insert Å symbol, click Insert tab,click Symbol button, then clickMore Symbols at bottom of palette.
