Why do we need a ranking system • Increasing demand on the availability of information regarding HEI • Decreasing community confidence in HEI decreased global competitiveness of their graduates
Why do we need a ranking system • Current global rankings are biased by their negligence to the institutional mission & their being partial to Anglophonic countries • Some of the criteria used in current rankings lack validity & or reliability
Objectives of the proposed AURIC • Motivating Universities to develop their selves to satisfy the academic &research requirements & to achieve developmental goals of the Islamic society. • Providing credible information about the competitive status of various Islamic Universities to allow stakeholders to make informed decisions .
Objectives of the proposed AURIC • Providing an opportunity for outstanding Universities to occupy rightful place regionally • Restoring community confidence in the output of HEI of the Islamic World • Encouraging student and faculty mobility to support social and cultural convergence and promote exchange of expertise & good practices.
