  1. JOOI OF READING

  2. JOOI OF READING Kids who love to read know how much fun it can be to open up a book and discover the story that waits on the pages inside! Aside from the fun a good book can bring, it gives young readers a brighter future. Children who read are more likely to do well in school and be more successful in all areas of their lives.

  3. JOOI OF READING By getting children excited about reading early in life, they can take this excitement with them as they grow. And in a few years, they will be passing their love of reading along to other kids!

  4. JOOI OF READING POSSIBLE PROJECTS INCLUDE: Kids Mentoring Kids JOOI Members mentor younger students in their schools or communities to introduce them to the fun of reading at an early age. While the younger students are having fun, they are also sharpening their reading skills.

  5. JOOI OF READING Catch and Release JOOI Members “release” books into public places in the hope that other kids will pick up the books, read them and then leave them for someone else to read and enjoy.

  6. JOOI OF READING JOOI of Reading Month JOOI Members initiate a fun competition in their schools to get students reading outside of class! While February has been designated as “JOOI of Reading” month by the International JOOI Board of Directors, JOOI Members can choose any month that works for them.

  7. JOOI OF READING GET THE WORD OUT! JOOI Clubs can promote their JOOI of Reading activities and events with press releases that are available on the website and can be modified to fit a JOOI Club’s promotional needs

  8. JOOI OF READING A FACE FOR LITERACY Mac King, a Las Vegas magician and supporter of children’s literacy, is the spokesman for JOOI of Reading. King wants to pass along the JOOI of Reading by making sure that children realize just how fun reading can be! King’s involvement in the program includes a special section of the JOOI website. This section includes a comic strip area called Mac King’s Corner and a list of “must-reads” from King’s young daughter, who is an avid reader.
