What is an induction lamp? • Uses same gas as a fluorescent tube • Fluorescent lamps use a filament – like a light bulb • Induction lamps use a magnet • A magnet lasts longer than a filament, up to 100,000 hours • Available in five color temperatures – 2700, 3500, 4100, 5000 and 6400K
