  1. Testbed Status at INFN Andrea Chierici Alessandro Italiano INFN-CNAF 5thDataGrid Conference Budapest 1-5 September 2002

Hardware Resources at CNAF (1) • 16 workstations: • 11 dell Poweredge rack mount. 1U with dual P3 800Mhz • 3 IBM X330 rack mount. 1U with dual P3 1400Mhz • 2 standard workstations • 1 Disk Server IBM with 300Gbyte available • Gigabit connection for the main services: • SE, UI, RB, RC • Fast Ethernet connection for the rest: • CE, WN

  3. Hardware Resources at CNAF (2) • Network Connectivity granted by: • Cisco 6005 for Gigabit Ethernet • Cabletron 2000 for Fast Ethernet • UPS power to grant 24/7 service • Access to GARR network = 1Gbps

  4. CNAF: present situation • All the machines were upgraded to edg-release 1.2.0: • Main services OK • Still running an RB with 1.1.4 to grant service for INFN-GRID testbeds (upgrade in progress) • Job manager used: OpenPBS 2.3 • 4 queues configured: infinite, long, medium, short • LCFG installation: • Network installation via PXE/GRUB (CNAF solution) • LCFGng under test (migration soon available)

  6. Different Testbeds Running at CNAF • CNAF is running 2 testbeds: one for validation and one for development. • Validation testbed: • RB/II, UI, SE, (with Gigabit connections), CE, 4 WN • Development testbed (v.1.2.0): • RB/II, UI, CE, SE, 1 WN (with FE connections)

  7. CNAF Activities • Participation to development testbed activity for release 1.2: • Within Integration Team • Support activities for production testbed: • Mainly for CMS, ALICE • Demos

  8. Future Plans at CNAF • LCG production Testbed in progress • gigabit connection for all the machines • migrate to the new version of LCFG • migrate to RH7.2 where required (by applications)

  10. The INFN Testbed In addiction to CNAF site the INFN Testbed consists of • Some sites where the complete set of grid elements (UI, SE, CE and WNs) have been installed and configured (EDG 1.1.4). Some of them (the red ones) joined the EDG Testbed: • Catania • Legnaro • Milano • Padova • Pisa • Torino • many other sites with a subset of the grid elements: • Bari, Bologna, Cagliari, Ferrara, Genova, Lecce, Napoli, Parma, Pavia, Roma1, Roma3, Trieste The grid elements are going to be upgraded to EDG 1.2.1
