How did Humans directly Impact their Environment?Talent 21 By cheyanne bockus
Introduction • This is my talent 21 for social studies. How did humans directly impact their environment? Well where going to find that out how when the glacier age ends impact their environment. How early manand early farmers impact their environment? finally how Egypt , Greece ,Rome, and Mesopotamia impacted their environment.
After glacier age • Climate change –have to get used to different tem. Change • People birching out – moving to different parts bad- over populating • Ocean rising – covering land less places to live
Early man • Discovered fire-causing pollution ,forest fire • Hunted – killing animals ,possible extinction • Destroying earth -Archaeology studying early humans tearing earth apart by finding artifacts • early man dug up the earth in search of weapons • Stone tools –it will get rid of people animals and the tools could be used for shelter
Early farmers • Slash and burn farming –killed trees and brush , polluting air • forms of irrigation - disruption of water flow , damage to earth from digging trenches • farming brings more people – creating more pollution • Population- Living in crowded areas with large populations of people
Mesopotamia • Wheel-wheels were put on cars that use fossil fuel which causes pollution . • Earth – they dug up the earth in search of bronze , Archaeology also dug up the earth in search of artifacts • Water-Created irrigation systems to store water to get dry land and dug dams .
Egypt • papyrus –which they used to make paper that destroyed marshy areas • Nile river – they built dams and irrigation systems that destroyed the earth • Pyramid building – the mummification practice which caused pollution
Greece • land – in Greece they did not have much land so they lived on mountains and fought were there land was in the mountains. • Olympic games – caused to many people in one are that cause over filling of area .
Rome • aqueduct - the used stone to make the aqueduct which they dug up the ground to get the stone • Coliseum – the coliseum was made out of stone which they hade to dig from the ground.
Conclusion I found out that back in ancient times they properly did the same amount of population that we do today
