History & Statistics 55 conferences have/are/will use SPMS. See http://oraweb.cern.ch/pls/jacow/Conf_List.html for a complete list. SPMS Regional Support Center Activities in North America, TM DESY, November 2009, M. Arena
SPMS @ Fermilab Fermilab continues its support of SPMS. Host conferences in NA, however conferences must host the file server for author uploads. Recently upgraded the database to 10g on a bigger box with more memory. A recent reorganization means I’ll soon have a backup developer (or two). Fermilab supports an instance of InDiCo. Conference @ Fermilab Currently running @ FNAL BIW10, ICAP09, PAC09, BIW08, ECRIS08, LINAC08 SPMS Regional Support Center Activities in North America, TM DESY, November 2009, M. Arena
Other Activities • Not technically an RSC activity • SPMS development – new requests and bug fixes • Patching – I have direct access to SPMS instances at CERN, KEK & FNAL. • Maintaining the SPMS download page • Bug/enhancement list • Bundling patches and full source-code zip files • Answering questions – lots and lots of them. Thoughts & Observations • The Team should suggest guidelines on when to suspend the SYNC process and when to shutdown an instance • Still no guidelines/consistencies in repatriation • Documentation progressing well and much needed • RSCs are working well together • Patches are no longer needed as I have direct access • Significantly less issues with “satellite” sites • Recommendation: Officially support SPMS only at RSC SPMS Regional Support Center Activities in North America, TM DESY, November 2009, M.
