  2. BCPL: An Introduction Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) is the prestigious Assam Gas Cracker project, the first ever Petrochemical project in entire North East India and came as a part of the historic Assam Accord signed on 15th August, 1985.

  3. BCPL: An Introduction GAIL (India) Limited is the main promoter having 70% equity participation and the rest 30% is equally shared by Oil India Limited (OIL), Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and Government of Assam. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi dedicated BCPL Petrochemical complex, a flagship project of Assam to the nation on 5th Feb, 2016.

  6. E-Tendering BCPL HAD ADOPTED E-MODE OF PROCUREMENT BY TAKING THE PLATFORM OF NIC CPP PORTAL OF GOI (https://eprocure.gov.in/) FROM 24.01.2017 At present, E-Tendering facility is available for procurement (supply/ services) of the value starting from Rs. 7 Lacs and above

IMPORTANT TENDERS THROUGH E-TENDERING • e-bidding in sale process was adopted for the first time with e-tender floated in CPPP/ NIC portal in Sept’2017. • BCPL has made e-tendering for the first time through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) tender on Spot basis to procure single lot quantity of feed-stock through Import in the month of June, 2018. • E-tendering for highest ever value of Rs. 256 Crores towards Hiring of services towards transportation of finished / end products to Pan India sources.

  10. BENEFITS THROUGH E-TENDERING • e-bidding in sales & procurement (supply/ services) process had led to: • Wider participation of bidders • Increased reliability in sourcing of more customers/ suppliers / service providers • Better realization & accrual benefit to buyer & seller

  11. SUGGESTIONS Documentation requirements shall be simplified and an audio-visual documentary may be generated for foreign bidder while applying for Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). This feature will help in getting registered and login in in their account.
