Role of the WSP Project Staff Key WSP staff that should be involved in the project are: • Technical expert: engineer (e.g. Technical Manager) • Customer Care Assistant, Public Relations Officer or Commercial Manager • Accountant or Commercial Manager Overview UPC
Roles of the WSP Staff Involved in the Project Accountant / Commercial Manager: • Ensure that budget lines are adhered to • Maintain the cash book • Maintaining financial records including vouchers and receipts • Prepare records for audits • Ensure that procurement is done in accordance with the procurement regulations • Work closely with the Financial Field Monitor of the WSTF • Report problems and irregularities to the WSP and WSTF • Prepare the financial part of the Monthly Progress Report Overview UPC
Roles of the WSP Staff Involved in the Project Customer Care Assistant / Public Relations Officer / Commercial Manager: • Coordinate the Project Task Team • Organise and facilitate Project Task Team meetings • Take a lead in the planning and facilitate all community mobilisation and sensitization activities • Ensure that activities are done during the right project stages • Conflict resolution • Work closely with the Social Field Monitor of the WSTF • Report problems and irregularities to the WSP and WSTF • Prepare the social component of the Monthly Progress Report Overview UPC
Roles of the WSP Staff Involved in the Project Engineer: • Periodically inspect the construction works and ensure adherence to engineering specifications (quality, quality, quality) • Provide technical backstopping to the Project Task Team during construction • Support the company in contract management and work plans • Ensure adherence to budget and timelines • Work closely with the Engineering Field Monitor of the WSTF • Report problems and irregularities to the WSP and WSTF • Prepare the technical part of the Monthly Progress Report Overview UPC
