Materials: Markers Blank Paper Table Top Twitter • Ask the students a thought evoking question. • Students begin their “tweet” by responding to the question. They should keep them short, in Twitter style (140 characters or less). • Students will then move around the room, responding to their classmates’ tweets by incorporating evidence from: • their own life and experiences • the world around them • prior readings or classroom discussions • They should be communicating in written words only. • Afterwards, students should return to their original tweet and read the comments. Use this to fuel a whole group discussion on the original question.
