  4. Yichang in Hubei Provence The location of station in the Upper Reach of Yangtze River

  5. The elevation over sea level in the Upper Reach of Yangtze River

  6. The annual mean pan evaporation in the Upper Reach of Yangtze River

  7. The trends of annual mean pan evaporation in the Upper Reach of Yangtze River

  8. Number of stations decrease and increase in annual and seasons pan evaporation

  9. Spring Summer Autumn Winter (b) (c) (e) (d) Trends in Seasons

  10. PA and Epan RH and Epan R and Epan Distribution of partial correlation coefficient between pan evaporation and meteorological variables

  11. TR and Epan TA and Epan SD and Epan Distribution of partial correlation coefficient between pan evaporation and meteorological variables

  12. CONCLUSIONS ☺In spite of the climate warming in recent decades, but Epan have increase in some areas, while decreased in other areas in upper reach of Yangtze River. ☺Increase in Epan is strongly related to increased air temperature (TA), decreased air pressure (PA) and decreased relative humidity (RH). ☺Decrease in Epan is significantly correlated withincreased relative humidity (RH), rainfall (R), air pressure (PA) and decreased sunshine duration (SD).
