SB 30 • Kindergarten: age of admission and readiness. • An act to amend Sections 48000 and 48005.45 of the Education Code, relating to kindergarten. • 2011-04-07 - Re-referred to Com. on ED. • 2011-04-27 - Set for hearing May 11.
Update • The State Board of Education has asked the Early Learning Advisory Council (ELAC) for instructional program implementation recommendations for transitional kindergarten. ELAC would work with experts to develop content standards that will bridge the Preschool Learning Foundations with the Kindergarten Common Core Standards. ELAC will take action on this request at its next meeting on May 19, 2011.
