How to use the VLE. A step by step guide. Go to www.alsg.org/vle by typing it into your browser bar. It will not work with a search engine. If its your first time on the site click on create new account. Fill in new account details and click ‘create my new account’.

  1. How to use the VLE A step by step guide

  2. Go to www.alsg.org/vle by typing it into your browser bar. It will not work with a search engine.

  3. If its your first time on the site click on create new account

  4. Fill in new account details and click ‘create my new account’

  5. A message will be sent to your email with a link to verify your account.

  6. Use the link in your email to get back to the VLE

  7. Find the course you want to enrol on. If you can’t find it in your course category list go to ‘all courses’

  8. Enter the enrolment key given to you by your co-ordinator (all in uppercase)

  9. You are now enrolled. You will see the main page for your specific course. This includes the post-course feedback questionnaire and the completion certificate and is therefore one you should visit again post course. You should now go back to the front page by clicking on ‘VLE’.

  10. You will then see the front page and the ‘my courses’ box which shows all the courses you are enrolled on. Click on your pre-course in ‘my courses’

  11. You will see the front page of your pre-course learning. Start with the introduction and follow the topics through.

  12. Once you have completed all of the topics, you are ready for the MCQ

  13. Once you have completed the MCQ and submitted it, a certificate link will appear in box 3.

  14. Print out the certificate and take it with you on your course to prove you have completed the pre-course learning.

  15. Once you have completed your course and all administration work has been completed by ALSG, you will received an email informing you that your completion certificate is ready to be printed. You will need to access the VLE and return to your main course page. You will find the certificate link in box 5.
