  5. Ask us Anything Do you need to be good at maths? I'm a second year in biosciences and last year I had to do a lot of maths. I would say I'm not the best at maths and I struggle a little but the college has a maths learning support centre that's really helpful. All you have to do to get help from them is bring your notes from class it doesn't cost anything and they're really helpful. I'd also say the lecturers themselves are also very helpful they understand maths can be difficult and will answer all your questions and we also have tutorials once a week where you can get practice doing equations and get any extra help you might need.

  6. Ask us Anything What are the lecturers like in DIT? The thing that struck me most when I started in DIT was how approachable the lecturing staff are. They are more than happy to spend time inside and outside of class answering any queries students have. Anything the can't answer they will either find out or point you in the right direction. The small lecture halls in DIT means that it is easy to ask questions to the lecturers about different aspects of the module material. This results in students developing good relationships with the lecturers due to the small number of students in each lecture.

  7. Ask us Anything What's the most interesting thing you did in first year? 2nd year DT228 computer science. The most interesting thing I did in first year was the last programming assignment we had. We had to design a lotto game that selected numbers and checked for a winner. It sounds simple but with error checking it became a lot more complex. I found this the most interesting because I learnt the most doing this assignment.
