DBE Program replaces existing MBE/WBE Program • Old program required the use of Minority and Women Business Enterprises • New program requires the use of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises • Socially Disadvantaged (i.e., either a Woman owned or Minority owned firm) • Economically Disadvantaged (personal net worth of less than $750,000)

DBE Certification • The Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly SOWMBA, will certify for the SRF program. • They will use the existing DOT certification process with a few modifications. • ~ 950 DBEs are currently certified through the DOT process. • Until the certification process is finalized, SRF borrowers will need to use the existing certified DBEs
Program Outreach • Mid-July roll out of DBE program • Meetings with consultants • Meetings with contractors • SDO outreach to MBE/WBE contractors
