UDP-galactose 4’-epimerase (GALE, 20 μM) was crosslinked with EDC (70 μM) as described in the Materials and Methods. GALE’s ability to homodimerise is not known to be affected by calcium ions. The presence of various concentrations (indicated in the figure) of either calcium chloride or EGTA had no effects on the molecular mass of the products or the amount of product produced (as judged by eye).
