Emotions. Purpose and Objectives. The purpose of this lesson is to provide students with an introduction to some of the most common emotions (in the TL) experienced in their day to day lives. Students will know how to identify a variety of emotions from visual prompts.

  2. PurposeandObjectives The purpose of this lesson is to provide students with an introduction to some of the most common emotions (in the TL) experienced in their day to day lives. Students will know how to identify a variety of emotions from visual prompts. In the TL students will be able act out a number of different emotions from written descriptions. Depending on readiness level, students will be able to read prompts and write what emotion it makes them feel. In the TL students will be able to explain to a classmate how they feel.

  3. Purpose and Extensions After learning these emotions they should be able to incorporate them into sentences and dialogs. As part of this lesson it would be highly beneficial for students to learn about emotions/feelings that required the use of the verb tener (tengohambre, tengosed, tengosueño, ect.). These could be presented in the same lesson or in a lesson immediately following.

Ask questions and provide responses about self and other familiar topics. • S1.2 • The student will demonstrate skills necessary to sustain brief oral and written exchanges in Spanish, using familiar phrases and sentences. • S1.5 • The student will present information orally and in writing in Spanish, using a variety of familiar vocabulary, phrases, and structural patterns.
