  1. Sharyland Atlas-Driver Load Integration Project – EIR update RPG Meeting

  2. Background • Sharyland Cap Rock/ERCOT load Interconnection Points • Colorado City interconnection (eastern) through Oncor’s Morgan Creek – China Groove 138 kV line • Triangle (western) interconnection through Oncor’s Stanton East – Midland East 138 kV line • Both SU-Gardendale and SU-East Midland load served radial • SPP Transmission Constraints & ERCOT Load Transfer • Previously ERCOT studied approx. 205 MW of load transfer (in 2014) related to evaluate the SU-SPP load transfer (at the request from PUCT related to Docket No. 39070) • The latest total projected load is approx. 417 MW by 2017 (including West Texas Oil/Gas load growth) • PUCT imposed a 150 MW limit on Sharyland’s SPP load • Transfer of incremental new load at DRIVER substation • Load at Driver will be served radial initially (currently filed for CCN) RPG Meeting

  3. Study Area RPG Meeting

  4. Map – Driver Substation RPG Meeting

  5. Reliability needs • Need for additional point of Interconnections • Closing the lines to Stiles and SU-Midland results in N-1 violations • 417 MW transfer (from SPP) requires additional point of interconnections to the ERCOT grid • ERCOT is currently reviewing different alternatives to serve the future load growth RPG Meeting

  6. Questions? March 12, 2010 RPG Meeting
