What is the order of the planets? What is special about each planet?
The first spacecraft to visit Jupiter was the pioneer 10 in 1973, since then it has been visited by many others such as the Pioneer 11, Voyager 2 and Ulysses. At the moment the spacecraft Galileo is orbiting Jupiter and will be sending data back to Earth at least until, 2011. On Jupiter there is a swirling storm of gas known as the ″ Great Red Spot ″ it is thought to have lasted many centuries! Jupiter has 16 known Moons, there is 4 Galileon and 12 small ones. JUPITER
SATURN Saturn is the second largest Planet, and is known to be a gas giant. Saturn is mainly made of hydrogen and also has many rings moving around its giant equator!
URANUS Uranus was once thought to be a comet. It has a temperature of approximately 357◦f and has at least 20 moons and 10 rings! It takes 84 Earth to move around the sun once. Every Planet has poles at the top and bottom, but Uranus has poles on either of its sides. Uranus has been found difficult to spot from Earth, even through a telescope because it is 2 Billion Miles from the sun!!!
Neptunes surface is almost completely covered in Ice, it also has 13 moons!!! Neptune has a very thick atmosphere. 1 year on neptune is almost 165 yeas on Earth so technically you wouldn’t live to see your first birthday! NEPTUNE
PLUTO Pluto was discovered in 1999. One day on Pluto is 6 days on Earth that means a long week. On one side of Pluto it is covered with ice and on the other side it is extremely hot, while its atmosphere is made of methore!
Planets move around the sun instead of the sun moving around them because the lighter thing always moves around the heavier thing. In this case the sun is heavier than the planets so the planets being the lighter thing moves around the sun. In our solar system there are 9 planets. how many planets are there? DO PLANETS MOVE? The solar system has 2 parts to it, the inner planets are: Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. And the outer planets are: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The inner planets are separated from the outer planets by the asteroid belt.
HAS WATER OR NATURE BEEN FOUND ON ANY PLANETS OTHER THAN EARTH? Yes, water has been found on other planets. Water has been found on Mars and Jupiter (only a vapor of water has been found on Jupiter) and plants have been found on mars, they are known as red plants.
