When it’s time for multiplication, don’t get discouraged! We can break it down! Step 1: Begin your “first” multiplication problem by multiplying with bottom number in the “ones” column. Place your product below the problem. Step 2: Mark out, erase or ignore your ones multiplier and any carried tens. Step 3: Add a zero at the end of your second answer line in order to represent the place value of ten. Step 4: Begin your “second” problem.
