Current Status • Generic Build ( gLite-3.1 distribution) • http://etics.cern.ch:8080/WebReactor/index.jsp?project=glite_branch_3_1_0_x86_slc_3 • A few build problems remains • WMS Network Server • 5 dependency problems related to DM modules • People are actively working on these problems • Testing can start only after we have a successful build • And will require the experiments participation on PPS • WN • SL3 build on SL4 nodes • Similar approach had been chosen by some sites s • Now it can be installed cleanly without • On PPS since >2 weeks • Experiments start testing only now • Without these tests this can’t be released • UI • SL3 build on SL4 nodes • Problems with some Python command line APIs • Integration team is following up on this.

Terminology • Component releases rather than big-bangs • 3.0 means built on SL3, VDT1.2.x (GT2) gcc-3.2 • Build system: gLite (and old lcg) • 3.1 means built on SL4, VDT1.3.x (GT4) gcc-3.4, Java-1.5 • and ETICS build system • Irrespective of actual code version!!! • Exceptions will be WMS/CE which is re-factored code for 3.1
