School of Graduate Studies PUTRA SARJANA WORKSHOP Turnitin Classes Sultan Abdul Samad Library, UPM • To all postgraduate students, • The University Graduate Studies Committee in their meeting on 19 December 2013 has agreed on the requirement of a text similarity search report (such as those generated by the Turnitin Database) with every thesis submission. • Please note that all theses submitted as of 2January 2013 onwardswill need to be accompanied by a text similarity search report. All students who are unfamiliar with the search tool and who plan to submit their theses by 18 February 2013 are required to attend the Turnitin Software Program Workshop. • Please also be informed that the upcoming deadline for thesis submission is 18 February 2013. No extensions will be granted. Students who have submitted the GS14a form to the School of Graduate Studies, and are awaiting approval of their examination committee, must submit their theses by 18 February 2013. • Students are encouraged to attend the workshop in sequential order. The schedule can be accessed through your student portal. • Details of the workshop are as follows: • Date : 21 January 2013 – 1 February 2013 (except 24 - 25 January 2013) • Location : Malawati Room, Ground Floor, Block A, • Sultan Abdul Samad Library, Universiti Putra Malaysia. • Time : As scheduled in the timetable. • Requirement : Please get your class ID and password from your supervisor.
