CONTINUING EXPLORATIONCOMMITTEE ACTIVITIES • Ongoing review of Aries and Orion requirements development, contractual continuity, and technical progress: Excellent connectivity becomes more visible with each fact finding activity (separate and associated with NAC meeting fact finding). • Continued discussions with ESMD related to NAC Cyber Security Recommendation: Dr. Ken Ford • -- Two meetings recommendation follow up. • -- Increasing level of confidence in NASA progress.

Joint Review of LAT--2 • Joint Review of Lunar Architecture Team (2nd Gen, called LAT-2) with Science and Operations Committees: • -- Multiple objectives for these LAT trade off activities, one key objective is to validate the requirements for payload sizing, makeup, and scheduling for launch vehicles and support equipment. • -- Command and Control infrastructure on the moon must reflect safe operational communications, data return, emergency support, etc.

Joint Review of LAT—2 Continued • Joint Review ofLat – 2 continued: • -- Similarly, power infrastructure must meet both vehicle and mission requirements. • -- LAT – 2 now has very significant emphasis on flexible ranges of geographical operations, combined robotic and human payload operations, etc. • Planning, infrastructure tradeoffs, developing maturity of LAT efforts is very commendable. • Working with interested international teams to assist their planning for Lunar Operations. t

EXPLORATION COMMITTEE CONTINUED • Exploration Budget Review: • -- Development of Exploration Budgets is Outstanding example of process maturation. • -- Commendable accommodation of technical requirements, maintaining required schedules, dealing with plus-ups and rescissions, etc. • Well balanced budget that keeps Exploration activities on schedule and properly funded! • Health and Medical Initiatives: Dr. Longnecker. • Example of outstanding technical problem solving: • Capt.
