  1. Pheasey Community Base: Things that we do…

  2. Visiting local shops There is a very busy high street which is the heart of the local community. Local residents have supported us and made us feel really welcome. Bloxwich Leisure Centre We use Bloxwich for keep fit and swimming sessions every Tuesday.

  3. Bowling We visit GT Leisure Bowl to have competitions and meet up with old friends. Visiting places of interest We meet up and decide where we would like to visit. From our suggestions we choose some to do, like Cadbury’s World, or the arboretum.

  4. Computer sessions We visit the local library and use their computer suite, and we are supported to get a qualification from Hawbush College. There is also a laptop at the base that we can use. Health Walks There are lots of parks in the local area where we go for healthy walks.

  5. One-to-one support We try and support people to do things that they want to do themselves, from going to a football club to going out for lunch. Friends Together Once a month we meet up with old friends and people from the other bases at Pelsall to chat and play games

  6. Cooking We make our own lunches and sometimes cook for the whole group. We have also made food to take home. Dance sessions We enjoy taking part in the regular dance and exercise sessions that are held at Brownwhills.

  7. Art and craft We also enjoy art and craft and we want to develop projects where we can use it. Communication We have regular sessions with the Speech and Language Therapists to help us with any problems we have.

  8. Prince’s Trust The Prince’s Trust, part of Brownhills Police, have helped us with projects and fundraising. We have been with them on visits around the community, and we have made some really good new links with people in the area.
