The prequel series was okay. I just had to give this 3rd spinoff series a look, but regret it. I barely got through about 80 pages before I donated it to the library. It was based around characters I hardly remember or care about. The one name you will recognize seems obviously doomed to make bad decisions. The bad guy is the same guy - who should be long gone by now. And the focus is still magic, a far tangent from the werewolf-centered books that the series began with.0

I finished it in two days. (normal book reading speed for me.) it brings back the pasted. showing the true bloodlines of the Keepers. and how people are connected in this world. we see how shay's mother is dealing with shay's turn into wolf. and how she comes to understand why.
