  5. Communication Styles Do you know what the 3 communication styles are?

  6. Passive Communication A passive communicator does not offer opposition when challenged or pressured.

  7. Aggressive Communication An aggressive communicator is hostile and unfriendly.

  8. Assertive Communication When you communicate assertively, you express yourself in a direct, respectful way.

  10. What does it mean to be an Active Listener? • Active Listening means letting the speaker know you are listening and clarifying anything confusing. Paraphrasing means using your own words to restate what someone else says. Being a good listener is as important as being a good speaker!

  11. What is another way we communicate without words? Body Language What message do the following forms of body language send? • Opening your eyes wide • Scratching your head • Opening your mouth wide • Snarling • Scrunching your eyebrows in a “V” • Standing straight and tall • Winking What are other forms of Body Language?
