PROCESS • Gather information • Reach out to interested participants • Hold a community Workshop • Establish project goals • Create Draft Streetscape Plan • Meet with community to share Streetscape Plan; Revise as needed • Final Plan Review with Community
STREETSCAPE GOALS • Make sidewalks and neighborhood safer • Improve “walkability” of sidewalks • Improve appearance of district • Bring some of the Hollywood Blvd “walk of fame” glamour to east of Gower

EXISTING STREET LIGHTING • ADD HANGING FLOWER BASKETS • PAINT LIGHT FIXTURES ON WESTERN NAVY BLUE
PEDESTRIAN LIGHTING MORE CLOSELY SPACED SHORTER THAN STREET LIGHT POLES ORIENTED TO THE SIDEWALK STATE LAW REQUIRES AN ELECTION OF ALL THE AFFECTED PROPERTY OWNERS AND MAY BE INSTALLED IF 51% AGREE TO AN ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS.
BUS SAFETY LIGHTING Bureau of Street Lighting approved fixtures Lamp is high pressure sodium (LED to become available in near future) Two fixtures may be placed at a Bus Zone and will be maintained by City staff Downtown Light Coachman King
