Before the course begins…. • Local team – why it’s important • Dividing tasks among organisers Some very practical, organisational advice… • Clear instructions to potential participants • Coherence between names in the passports and names registered at the hotel ..this can save you some slight panicking…

  4. During the course… The importance of creating a • good and friendly atmosphere and • a group feeling FROM THE BEGINNING… …and to have enough breaks and time to socialise The importance of social and cultural programme

  5. The course: things to consider Introduce the participants to the model of web-based collaborative learning prior to the course • A different type of activity Start the course with an already existing online simulation

  6. The course: things to consider • Flexibility • Composition of groups • The participants do not know each other • Dominant participants • Passive participants • Negative participants • Disagreements on ideas and solutions • No ideas at all Possible problems and conflicts - what do you do?

  7. The course: things to consider • Time factor • Themes and ideas that can work • A problem and a commonly agreed on solution • Negotiations, not discussions • Writing the script: simplicity, structure and organisation
