Review of Minnesota CE Training Layout CE-Discovery Process • Days 1 & 2: Consecutive • Day 3 • Day 4 CE-Job Development • Days 5-6: Consecutive Total of six days of training over 16 week period
Student vs. Auditor Roles Student • Works with individual requiring CE-Discovery & CE-Job Development • Receives mentoring supports throughout MN CE Training • Completes homework assignments that support CE-Discovery & CE-Job Development • Concludes CE training with completed CE plan for individual they have supported/served • Receives certificate for completing ACRE certified CE training • Submits their completed CE plan to VRS for competency review Recommended for anyone providing CE services Auditor • Participates actively in class activities • Provides feedback on the training • Receives certificate for completing ACRE certified CE training Recommended for Supervisors/Managers, VRS Counselors, Designated Coordinators, Work Coordinators
MN CE Training Homework Expectations-Students Day 2 homework: allow 6-8 hours and 4 weeks to complete Day 3 homework: allow 15 hours and 5 weeks to complete Day 4 homework: allow 10 hours and 5 weeks to complete Day 6 homework: allow 8-10 hours and 4-6 weeks to complete
Qualities of MN CE Students and Auditors • Open-minded • Willing to learn and try something new • Believe in the people they support • Open to mentoring throughout training and CE process • Able to attend ALL six days of training
What Will it Cost? Trainers and Mentors • Minnesota CE Training Manual • Nominal Cost for Training Supplies • Annual ACRE Certification Costs • Registration Fee via Eventbrite $725.00 each for students and auditors

How to Register for MN CE Training Please send email to: chris.mcvey@state.mn.us Indicate the number of staff your agency would send to the training Indicate numbers of staff that attend as Student vs. Auditor Contact by Friday, November 30th, 2018
Selection of Students & Auditors Selection will occur based on the following: Sent Date agencies request MN CE Training via email: chris.mcvey@state.mn.us Agency Location, need for CE capacity building 245D licensed mn.gov/deed/vrs
Students & Auditors Selected for MN CE Training • Will be informed in early December regarding their training dates, location • Provided instructions on how to register for the MN CE Training • Be prepared at time of registration to pay for training mn.gov/deed/vrs

Funding The VR program receives 77.08 percent of its funding through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. For federal fiscal year 2018, the total amount of grant funds awarded were $40,547,362. The remaining 22.92 percent of the costs ($14,300,000) were funded by Minnesota state appropriations.
