Status of Respiratory Care at AUB-MC • 1996: 6 staff (RNs and Techs) • 2013: 36 staff (RNs, RTs, and Techs) • Training: OJT • Comprehensive range of RC services (Invasive MV, NIV, NO, Heliox, ABG lab, Codes, Transport, Research, education, etc)
Status of Respiratory Care in Lebanon • Almost all academic and non-academic health care facilities have recognized the importance of such profession • The political instability and agendas have prevented to-date the creation of an organized RC programs and a national society • A file is being prepared and will be submitted for the establishment of the LSRC
