Department Awards Banquet Unit Citation Amber Bowman, Stephanie Gonzales and Susan Barnes The Davis County Citizens Police Academy has worked tirelessly scheduling, organizing and planning each session of the Citizens Police Academy as well as the National Citizens Police Academy Conference. This group has also been recognized as a national leader in its implementation of effective CPA services to the citizens of Woods Cross and Davis County.

  10. Department Awards Banquet Meritorious Service: Ryan Lundquist On July 15, 2015 Master Officer Ryan Lundquist responded to a report of a hanging. Through Officer Lundquist’s quick action in cutting down the victim and administering CPR he was able to bring the victim back to life. The victim died shortly after this incident. This incident encapsulates Officer Lundquist’s dedication toservice.

  11. Department Awards Banquet Life Saving Award: Sgt. Dan Schultz The Woods Cross Police Department recognizes Sgt. Schultz for the life saving efforts of a suicidal female on 6/28/2015. Sgt. Schultz responded to Inn Town Suites on report of a suicidal female. When he arrived, the suicidal female barricaded herself in her room and ignored commands by Sgt. Schultz to open the door. Sgt. Schultz quickly gained entry into the room as the female sliced her wrist causing traumatic hemorrhaging. Sgt. Schultz applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding until ambulance arrived for further medical life saving measures. Sgt. Schultz’s speedy response and superb decision making led to the preservation of a life for a citizen of Woods Cross City.

  12. Department Awards Banquet Life Saving Award: Officer Corey Boyle The Woods Cross Police Department recognizes Officer Boyle for the life saving efforts of a suicidal female on 6/28/2015. Department Awards Banquet Citizens Award of Merit: The Woods Cross police Department Recognizes Michelle Wood, Julie Checketts, and Tanna Dyer for their service to our citizens through the Rad Women and RadKIDS programs. Their selfless dedication to the teaching of self defense has had a positive impact to the citizens of Woods Cross.

Department Awards Banquet Business Award of Merit The Woods Cross Police Department would like to recognize Flexpak, Silver Eagle Refining, and Rockin E Country Store with the Business Award of Merit for their invaluable assistance and service to the Woods Cross Police Department. Their dedication to the Woods Cross community has helped the department in the furtherance of its mission to enhance the quality of life for itscitizens.

Ranger Certified 200 Hrs Police Man Trailing Tier I & II Scent theory, K9 Manhunting, K9 First Aid, K9 Nutrition, K9 Record Keeping, Court Room Testimony, Current K9 Case Law, Trailing Tactics Team had to complete 1.03 mile, double blind trail of unknown subject, covering three surfaces including one road and river in under 1 hour

  18. Case Profile On January 24, 2017 Woods Cross Police were contacted by Boise Idaho Police regarding a 17 year old female runaway. Boise Police believed she may be with a 30 year old adult male staying at a local Woods Cross address. Woods Cross Police responded to the home in question where the juvenile female was located inside. The Juvenile was safely returned to her mother in Idaho. Through a multi agency investigation it was determined the male suspect had contacted the juvenile female through Facebook, making arrangements to go and get her from Boise to bring her back to Woods Cross. A search Warrant was executed on the home of the suspect by Woods Cross Police. Several key items were recovered during this Warrant. The suspect was charged with multiple felonies.
